Welcome to Vedic Insight, the Kundali Darpan Jyotish application. In these Terms, “the app” refers to Vedic Insight for macOS.
These Terms of Use govern your use of the app and its related features, services and website. By using the app, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
1. About Vedic Insight
Vedic Insight is a Jyotish calculation and study application designed for educational, cultural and informational use.
Its features include Kundali creation, circular and square chart views, planetary positions, divisional charts, Vimshottari Dasha tables, Gochar, Patro/Panchanga and technical study and comparison tools.
The app presents calculated and educational information. It does not guarantee future events or personal outcomes.
2. Educational and Informational Use
The app does not provide medical, legal, financial, psychological or other professional advice.
Information from the app should not replace advice from an appropriately qualified professional. Important decisions should not rely on the app alone.
Any decisions you make based on information presented by the app remain your responsibility.
3. Free and Pro Features
The Free version allows up to two saved Kundalis in total, including the sample chart.
Chart types and available calculation and study tools can be used in the Free version. The calculation method does not change solely because you use the Free version.
While a Pro subscription is active, it provides unlimited saved Kundalis and backup and restore. Study and calculation tools remain available in the Free version. Saved Kundalis remain available if the subscription expires, but Pro features are no longer available after expiry.
4. Pro Purchase
The currently offered Pro purchase is Vedic Insight Pro Annual, a one-year auto-renewing subscription purchased through the Apple App Store. While active, the subscription provides the Pro features described in these Terms and shown in the app.
The price shown in the app and in Apple's purchase confirmation applies to your transaction. The price may be localized and may vary by country or region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current subscription period ends. Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal during the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings.
Subscription access is determined using verified Apple transaction information. If an eligible purchase is not recognised, use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used for the transaction.
5. Future Features and Products
We may add, modify or improve features over time. Future services, major expansion modules or separate products may have separate terms or require an additional purchase.
Maintenance, bug fixes, compatibility updates and improvements to existing functionality may be provided as part of the app.
The current Pro purchase does not automatically include every separate product or service that may be offered in the future.
6. Purchases and Refunds
App Store purchases are processed by Apple. We do not directly process App Store payments or receive your full payment-card information.
Refund requests are handled under Apple's applicable policies and should be submitted through Apple.
Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or other remedy that you are entitled to under applicable consumer law.
7. Accuracy and Calculation Information
The app is designed to provide consistent technical Jyotish calculations. However, no software can guarantee that every calculation, data source, device setting or user-entered detail will always be error-free.
Check birth dates, recorded local times, locations, coordinates and time zones before relying on a chart. Incomplete or uncertain inputs can affect the result.
The built-in astronomy engine is currently marked as development precision. It uses a Lahiri approximation and mean lunar nodes and is not a licensed professional ephemeris or professional timing certification.
Do not use the app's exact degrees or timing for professional certification. Important results should be independently verified.
We may correct calculation errors, improve algorithms or update technical data. Results produced by different calculation versions or settings may differ.
8. User Data and Backups
You are responsible for ensuring that information you enter is accurate and that you are authorised to use any personal information you provide.
You are responsible for choosing where exported files and backups are stored or shared. Review restore options carefully, particularly when replacing existing data.
How information is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Acceptable Use
You must not misuse the app or use it in violation of applicable law.
You must not interfere with its operation, circumvent purchase protections or attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data.
You may not copy, redistribute, reverse engineer or commercially reproduce protected parts of the app except where permitted by applicable law or an applicable open-source licence.
10. Intellectual Property
The app's original software, interface, branding, documentation and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Third-party software, astronomical data, open-source components and other licensed materials remain subject to their respective licences and ownership terms.
11. Availability and Changes
We may update, modify or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for technical, legal, security, commercial or product-development reasons, subject to applicable law.
We do not guarantee that every feature will be available on every device, operating-system version or in every country.
Features that use Apple services, online documentation or App Store purchase services may require an internet connection and depend on those services being available.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided without a guarantee that it will meet every individual requirement or produce a particular personal, professional or astrological outcome.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses resulting from decisions made solely on information presented by the app.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights, guarantees or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable consumer law.
13. Apple App Store Terms
If you obtain the app through the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms and the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless a valid custom EULA applies.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Revised Terms will be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
The effect of continued use after revised Terms take effect is subject to applicable law.
